The service

ChessAlfa is a free tool for analyzing chess games using the Stockfish 18 (Lite) engine in your browser. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use to help you study and improve at chess.

No account, free to use

ChessAlfa requires no account and is offered free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in any unlawful way or to infringe others’ rights.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service or its infrastructure.
  • Abuse third-party data sources (such as the Chess.com or Lichess APIs) through automated or excessive requests via ChessAlfa.

Third-party services

ChessAlfa relies on third-party resources, including the Chess.com and Lichess public APIs and the Stockfish engine. Your use of data from those sources is subject to their respective terms. ChessAlfa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Chess.com, Lichess, or the Stockfish project.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Engine evaluations and move classifications are provided for educational purposes and may not be perfectly accurate. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChessAlfa and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
